Nokian Heavy Tyres continues to be the number one in the world for the manufacture and development of forestry tyres.  The range and sizes cover tractors, skidders and modern Cut To Length (CTL) harvesting machines.

The company continues to break new ground and hit the headlines recently when they unleashed their best kept secret – The Forest Rider. The world’s first functional radial forestry tyre for professional use on the market. Designed for CTL forestry machines, the Forest Rider wins users over with its unique driving properties and supreme traction abilities, without the use of tracks.

The tyre has been secretly developed over a number of years with testers not even aware they were testing a RADIAL forestry tyre. The new Forest Rider features a unique side puncture protection which provides the same reliability as a cross-ply tyre in the demanding forest conditions.

At Nordic Tyres we do not view this range of tyres as Forestry Tyres we see them as Tough Tyres for a range of applications where the conditions are extremely demanding. For example, we have been very successful supplying forestry tyres to JCB for their Articulated Dump Trucks (ADT’s) where a combination of flotation and tough resistance is required in an industrial appliaction.
